Happy 8th Birthday!

Sabrina got to celebrate her birthday when Grandma and Grandpa Schwieder were here.  They took her to Chucky Cheese for lunch.  She had an ice cream cake that was delicious.  She received a crown that we all had to try on.  Sabrina is a fun little lady.  She enjoys playing with her friends and is glad that Mila lives close by.  Wendy was in the hospital on Sabrina's birthday, but we were still able to have fun.

Sabrina's baptism was rescheduled from February 26th  to March 26th due to Wendy being in the hospital.  This meant grandparents were not able to attend in person, but they were able to join via Zoom.  It was a great day for a wonderful little girl.  She picked the program and songs.  She was excited to make promises with Heavenly Father and the first words she wrote in her journal were about how good she felt when she got baptized.

These pictures were taken at the Indianapolis Temple for Sabrina's baptism invitation.

Wendy is Growing

The temple began opening and Wendy was able to attend the temple at the beginning of June.  I was able to go with her which was a treat.  We had fun taking pictures of the temple grounds flowers after our session.

Crazy Girl!

Happy Birthday!!  Wendy is our fun-sized and fun-filled 12 year old.  She has enjoyed attending YW and is a great friend to all around her.  She is creative, and is a great sister to Sabrina.

Youth Camp

Zachary and Eric were able to attend a Ward Youth Camp.  It was the first week that some of the Covid restrictions were lifted within our stake so there was some freedom that was very much appreciated.  I was able to volunteer for one day and night and enjoyed interacting with the wonderful youth, and the adult leaders.  Below I am hold a Cicada which were out and making their music.  I named it Silas the Cicada.

Remembering Grandpa

Grandpa Schwieder passed away February 10, 2020.  I was blessed to be able to go home and remember him with my extended family.  Grandpa was a great man.  He had a huge heart and we all knew he loved us, and he loved his Savior.  His smile was frequently shared and his sense of humor made us laugh.

While I was gone my family had a party without me!  They sent me a picture of them with Popcorn and Orange Juice the essentials for any party.

Festival of Faiths

I had the opportunity to sing with a choir for the Festival of Faiths in Indianapolis on September 22, 2019.  I loved practicing the music, and enjoying the company of the other choir members.  The venue was not the best acoustics, but we practiced inside the War Memeorial building and I wish everyone could have heard us then, amazing!  The family came to support me and made Chalices at one of the booths.  We also got pins at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints booth.  After the performance we visited the Memorial for just a few minutes.  It was built to commemorate the Great War (WWI)  The museum inside touches on all the wars and we should probably go back when we have more time.

Here is a video of one of our songs, My Heavenly Father Loves Me.

Church Sites

Sunday we visited the Joseph Smith Sr Farmstead and the Sacred Grove along with the Hill Cumorah Visitor Center and Monument.  In the log cabin Hyrum, Eric, and Zachary were able to participate in the presentation and help explain what happened there and how it prepared Joseph Smith to ask and receive and answer.  We then walked through the Sacred Grove.  It was very peaceful and I enjoyed my time there.  After our walk we went to the Visitor Center at the Hill Cumorah.  We had fun exploring the video presentations and then listened to the presentation with the Christus Statue.  We then drove to the top to see the monument.  We saw some young adults who had climbed to the top and were grateful we chose to drive.

Hyrum's Baptism

Hyrum chose to be baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.  We are so proud of him.  He truly does have an understanding of the gospel, even if he is always moving he is listening too.

January 2019

Winter brought a few days of snow, but a lot of simple cold, cold days!

Play dates are always fun.  Here are Princesses Sabrina and Aubry enjoying Macaroni and Cheese.

Hyrum chose to participate in his School STEM night.  It was an arcade based on games made out of cardboard.  "The Lucky Drop" was a success and Sabrina and Hyrum enjoyed exploring other games and classroom activities.
The Indianapolis, Indiana Temple taken from the window of my car while driving by.  It is a beautiful sight and so close!!
