Adventures while the big kids were at FSY

David Ross Memorial and Garden

I spent the afternoon walking and reading in this garden near Purdue.  Zachary, Eric, and Wendy were attending FSY and I was filling time between dropping them off and giving Wendy her growth hormone shot.  

A couple of days later Sabrina, Hyrum and I spent the day in Lafayette before we visited Wendy that evening.  We swam at Prophetstown State Park, and visited the Lafayette Zoo.

 

Grandparents Visit

Grandma and Grandpa Schwieder came and spent a week with us over the 4th of July.  We visited the Indiana Dunes, watched fireworks, went to the Zoo and spent quality time with one another.  The only glitch was forgetting sunscreen on Sabrina's back and she got a horrible sunburn.

Spring Break 2023

 Our Spring Break was mostly a staycation, and we enjoyed much needed down time.  We did spend Thursday and Friday night at Sonshine Cabin about 2 hours from our house.  It was a wonderful break.  We sat around the fire, played checkers, hiked, used the swing, slipped in the mud (MiKell) and just had a fun time.
