End of the School Year

The end of term 4 brought a lot of activities.  Zachary and Eric attended a week long camp, Wendy spent a night at the school with activities away from the school for 2 days, and Hyrum had a day that they stayed after school for activities and then met the family for a picnic.  They all participated in the 4th Term Community Expo.  Zachary was an organizer, Eric participated in the paper folding booth, Wendy and a friend put on a gymnastics show, and Hyrum did a puppet show.  Zachary had some special times as he was finishing his time at primary school.   I think he is excited and nervous about intermediate school.  All the kids loved the activities and were excited for the summer break and Christmas to come.

DaNcE

Sabrina participated in a dance class from October to December.  She absolutely loved it, and the teachers loved her.  She was always willing to participate and quickly caught on to the routine.  Dance is definitely her thing as she does it whenever she hears music, or sometimes makes her own.

Titahi Bay

Titahi Bay

After an evening of Christmas shopping at the mall, we decided to stop by the beach on our way home.  It was bit chilly when the wind blew but otherwise a beautiful evening.  We built a dam in a little stream that was going to the ocean and had a lot of fun.

Visitors: The Ueki Family

A couple from our ward in Mississippi came and visited for a week.  Sabrina and I went to the botanical gardens with them, and visited Old St Paul's.  Both activities were enjoyable.  It was also great to have people here to play games with in the evenings.

Athletics Day

Zachary, Eric, and Wendy had fun at their Athletics Day.  They each participated in long jump, high jump, sprints and the throwing events.  Sabrina and I had a fun time trying to get everywhere on the field to see 3 children participating in different events simultaneously.

Below are videos of Eric finishing a sprint, he is in the middle blue shirt, Wendy's first attempt at the high jump, and Zachary doing a massive jump at the long jump pit.  Enjoy!

Staglands

On Labor Day, October 24th, we visited Staglands Wildlife Reserve.  It was a fun outing.  The drive there was a bit twisty, but we made it.

We all got a good chuckle at how this pig ate the food we had.

Halloween

Halloween is a much more subtle holiday in New Zealand.  We did attend a trunk-or-treat at the Wellington Chapel the Saturday before.  The 4 younger kids dressed up for Halloween on Monday and enjoyed going to a few houses.  Sabrina could not decide what costume she wanted so she was numerous things before we finally got out the door, here she is a princess.  Hyrum was a box troll/robot at the trunk-or-treat, but just like Sabrina got fickle on Halloween and ended up a King.  Eric was always going to be a Ninja and Wendy was a princess although she wore different princess outfits.

Halloween night outside our spooky house and then outside one of the best decorated in the neighborhood.
