June Vacation: Magic Kingdom

Our second Disney day was spent at Magic Kingdom.  The weather was hot, but not HOT like the previous day.  Our day was enjoyable filled with rides, character meetings, and meals.

 We were able to meet quite a few characters throughout the day.  Sabrina was particularly excited about meting princesses, and Daisy Duck.

We ate at the Jungle Skipper Canteen Restaurant for lunch.  The first picture is the porch we waited on for our seat, the following pictures are inside the restaurant.

 

 The many faces of Hyrum.  I had to put the whole set of pictures rather than just the smile because it gives a glimpse into Hyrum's personality.

We did have a bit of excitement while eating here.  We had placed our orders and were waiting for our food when the fire alarm rang.  The building was evacuated while they figured out what was wrong.  We were waiting for about 30 minutes.  When we went back in our meal was first on deck, so we didn't have to wait long.  The big bonus was because of the inconvenience it caused us our meal was free and we got two fast passes for rides of our choice in the park.  😃

 We ate an early dinner at the Crystal Palace, with friends from Winnie the Pooh.  Each character greeted us at our table and it was a delicious buffet.  Zachary was not feeling the best and was resting, Eeyore understood feeling blue and comforted him. 

Of course in between eating we went on rides.  Due to the fast passes we signed up for before our trip, ones we got from the restaurant, and ones we could get after we used our original ones we were able to go on quite a few rides.  It was an enjoyable day.

June Vacation: Animal Kingdom

Monday we set off for our first day in the parks, and it was HOT!!!  We planned a full day, but due to the heat we called it early and enjoyed an evening at the hotel.

  We met Explorer Mickey and Minnie.  It is always fun to interact with them, and this time was no different.

 Waiting for Finding Nemo show.  This was one of our favorite activities for two reasons; 1 it was a well done entertaining show, 2 it was in an air conditioned theater. 

 

  The Safari and the walks to see animals were fun, but HOT!  Above are a sampling of the animals we saw.

 The new land is Pandora: the land of the Avatar.  We did not spend a lot of time there, but did take a wander through to see some of the fun special effects  This plant sprays water when you hold your hand on the red part for a few seconds.

June Vacation: Part I

We left and arrived on Saturday; June 2, 2018. 

 Flights to Florida were long, but we made it in one piece and the children at least slept well and had little jet lag.

While there Kyle and I were able to take turns attending the Orlando Temple.  Since the church was across the street, we also visited as a family after church both Sundays we were there.  

 Hotel pools are always a hit, and this was no different.  We had fun times.
