June Vacation: AGM

AGM: Orlando Florida

Welcome Reception:  Only Kyle and the two older boys went down toward the end of the welcome reception.  After a day in the sun, some of the younger kids needed rest more than a party.

Day 1:  We spent the day at the pools and then the evening at our age group events.  It was a fun day and an enjoyable night.

 The kids event included a story teller, painting, movies, crafts and much more.  Eric, Wendy and Sabrina had a good time.

  

Zachary went off-site where he played laser tag and went go-carting with other teens.

Kyle and I attended the adult formal.  This year it was an indoor garden theme.  The room was decorated beautifully and the live Chamber Orchestra was the perfect decibel level to talk and enjoy those around us.  The food was great.  

Day 2: More swimming and then the family event.  The family event was held at Universal Studios.  The company bought out a section of the City Walk, where we had an abundance of choices for dinner.  We then went into the first section of Universal Studios that was open just for us.  We were able to go on Minions, Shrek, and Transformers as well has get some balloon creations made for us.  It was a late night but fun.

June Vacation: Sea World

We hit Sea World the Thursday that AGM began.  I have such good memories of Sea World as a child, hopefully the kids now do as well.  We began the day with a behind the scenes tour which included touching a shark, and a penguin.

We then went on a few rides, saw a few animals, and then went to lunch with the whales.  It was good food and a fun personalized show.

We spent the rest of the afternoon looking at marine animals.

 Our last stop before heading to the AGM was the Clyde and Seymore Show.  The Sea Lions are always entertaining and it was fun a fun end.

Eric's 11th Birthday

Eric celebrated his 11th birthday at Islands of Adventure.  We were partying all day

He opened a few presents at the hotel, but had to wait for the bigger ones when we went to Idaho, where they had been sent.

Although a day early he wore a birthday badge in Magic Kingdom and got a birthday cupcake ate the Crystal Palace.  As a family we sang to him over a giant family size doughnut from Dr. Seuss Land.

Eric is a great kid.  He has such a contagious smile.  He likes to draw/color/trace and has a binder of Pokemon drawings.  He enjoys school, but gets stressed our easily if things are not quickly understandable.  Eric is a great friend and makes friends easily.  He is a particularly good friend to Sabrina.

June Vacation: Universal Islands of Adventure

June 6th we spent at Universal's Islands of Adventure.  We had a grand time and were much cooler due to overcast skies.  We even got some afternoon rain showers.

 The first ride we went on was Bluto's Barges.  Sabrina was too small, so she and I waited and splashed in puddles.  The others had a great time and got off the ride soaking.  It took a few hours to completely dry off.  Along with rides another highlight was playing at the Jurassic Park Playground.

 We ate lunch at The Three Broomsticks in Hogsmeade, and Dinner at Mythos Restaurant.  Both had great food.  On the bridge by the Mythos Restaurant were fish that we fed some of our rolls, and a turtle came along as well.  A fun surprise.

 In between meals we did a divide and conquer adventure.  The littles came with me to Dr. Seuss land and the big boys went with Kyle to Spiderman and Marvel adventures.  I obviously did better at documenting our time.
