Indiana Dunes

We spent a weekend visiting the Indiana Dunes.  It was a rainy weekend, which ended up working in our favor as we were one of only a few families at the beach.  It was beautiful.

We also visited a short boardwalk in Indiana Dunes National Park

The hotel we stayed in had a really fun pool and huge hot tub.  It was a great way to wind down.

 

Wendy is Growing

The temple began opening and Wendy was able to attend the temple at the beginning of June.  I was able to go with her which was a treat.  We had fun taking pictures of the temple grounds flowers after our session. 

Crazy Girl!

Happy Birthday!!  Wendy is our fun-sized and fun-filled 12 year old.  She has enjoyed attending YW and is a great friend to all around her.  She is creative, and is a great sister to Sabrina.

 

Happy Birthday, Eric

Eric is now 14 years old.  He is diligent worker and conscientious of  his responsibilities and ensures they are taken care of.  He enjoys gaming on the computer.  This next year he will attend High School!! 

For his birthday he got a piñata, which we filled and broke open later in the week.  Fun! 

Youth Camp

Zachary and Eric were able to attend a Ward Youth Camp.  It was the first week that some of the Covid restrictions were lifted within our stake so there was some freedom that was very much appreciated.  I was able to volunteer for one day and night and enjoyed interacting with the wonderful youth, and the adult leaders.  Below I am hold a Cicada which were out and making their music.  I named it Silas the Cicada.

Lacrosse

Hyrum tried a new sport this past spring, Lacrosse.  He had a great time learning new skills and making new friends.  The last few games he tried goalie and really liked it. 

 

Flash & Chewy

Flash & Chewy

A family in our ward needed some pet-sitting, and Hyrum, Sabrina, and Wendy jumped on the chance.  We got to take care of chihuahua's Flash and Chewy for a week.  It was a good experience for all.  The cuddles were fun, the responsibility was a teacher.  The kids did great.

Sabrina started taking ballet lessons.  She does a great job.  In music at school they learned about being a good performer and audience.  Sabrina decided to perform her ballet.

Zachary started an archery class.  He enjoys it and is quite good.

Wendy gave her first talk as a Young Woman.  She did a wonderful job.  She was super nervous and the Lord gave us a tender mercy allowing her to give the talk via Zoom.
