"Me Do It!"

Eric's favorite phrase is "Me do it!!!!!!!!!" Yes, the exclamation points are accurate. He will repeat it over and over sometimes adding a "myself" for emphasis. Of course it is nice that he is showing a little independence; however, sometimes I wish he would pick tasks that he can actually do or actually need to be done. We love our 2-year-old Eric.

Wendy Smiles

Wendy has a very contagious smile. We love how her little tounge comes out when she is happy.

An Exciting Day for Zach

What a day!!

It was an exciting day for Zachary. It began with his 4-year check-up. He was pronounced healthy and strong. He told the doctor that the nurse squished his muscles, this of course was in reference to having his blood pressure taken. He is in the 55th percentile for height and 60th percentile for weight. This means he has really grown, last year he was in the 30th percentile.

After the Dr.'s appointment we went to the store where Zachary chose chocolate filled eyeballs, for the treat to bring for his birthday to preschool.

Yes, you read that right preschool. Today was Zachary's first day of preschool. He was very excited to wear his backpack. When I dropped him off he just ran in and began playing. He didn't even say good-bye to his dear old mom. When I picked him up I asked how he liked it. He said it was great, but I couldn't get many more details.

When we got home from preschool, we waited about 1 hour, and then Dad came home and we started the party. Zachary's birthday party was just a family affair, but we sure had a great time. Both Eric and Zachary had fun opening presents, playing with the new toys, eating the pizza Zachary requested for dinner, and enjoying the Pooh Bear cake.

Overall it was a very busy, exciting day for Zachary. When it was bedtime, Zachary went quickly and quietly. He was really tuckered out.

Fun Activities

CAMPING

We went camping up in Green Canyon near Logan, Utah. We were able to see Emily and Brad which was fun, and swim in their apartment complex's pool, which the boys absolutely loved. Both Zachary and Eric liked to explore around our campsite, and both loved eating the roasted marshmellows. They both also got very dirty, but isn't that what camping is all about :)

ROCK CLIMBING

For part of the David Schwieder Reunion, we went to a climbing gym. Everyone had a great time. Zachary was an especially good climber, and loved letting go and swinging on the rope. Eric did not quite grasp the purpose, but had a great time watching and laughing with others. I enjoyed myself, and even made it to the top of the easy climb. Kyle who has never repeled in his life due to lack of opportunity and a slight fear of heights, did it. We were very proud. As you can see we had a great time!

WENDY'S BLESSING

Wendy was blessed today. She was absolutely beautiful for a beautiful occasion. Her Grandma Barnes made the dress for her, and she amazingly kept it clean and even smiled for some of the pictures. We were also blessed to have a lot of our family come to support us. Thanks to eveyone who came, we loved seeing you and talking with you.

Here are some photos that not only show how beautiful Wendy was, but also how varied her facial expressions can be. Enjoy!

Here is a photo that shows the dress in its full glory.

Spotlight on Zachary

Zachary is such an active boy, that it is sometimes hard to get a still shot that shows how fun he can be. Here are three clips that will help you get a glimpse of Zachary as he truly is.

Zachary loves the Star Wars book at Grandma's house. When Kyle or Grandpa will read it with him he is in heaven. He wanted to read it, but mom and grandma told him that we do not know anything aout the space ships, and asked him to read it to us. Here he is explaining one of the ships in the book.

I just love this clip. It makes me smile everytime I see him topple, and jump right back up. That is his attitude about everything.

Television and the computer can hold his attention when other things cannot. Lately he has wanted to type. He loves to push one letter and watch it fill the page.

Firsts for Wendy

Being only one month old meant there were lots of firsts. Wendy had her first bath, this picture is of the 3rd or 4th bath; however, this was the first one in a sink. She likes the water, she just curls up and relaxes. She also was able to meet all of here great-grandparents this month, This photo is with great-grandma Schwieder. Wendy also began having fun un a swing. We purchased this one at the beginning iof the month. She likes watching the bars as she swings past them.
