An impromptu trip to the Zoo

One Thursday in April, Sabrina got on the bus as usual and then the adventures began.  There was a beeping object found in the trash outside the front door of her school.  So all the busses were rerouted to the middle school, the bomb squad was called, and tests were sent to all parents.  After about an hour it was decided to cancel school, so I picked up Sabrina and we went to the Indianapolis Zoo.    Some of the animals were very active. The Orangutangs were climbing, the bear swimming, and the elephants splashing water.  Sabrina even got up the nerve to touch a ray. It was a fun Mother/Daughter outing.

Spring Break 2023

Our Spring Break was mostly a staycation, and we enjoyed much needed down time.  We did spend Thursday and Friday night at Sonshine Cabin about 2 hours from our house.  It was a wonderful break.  We sat around the fire, played checkers, hiked, used the swing, slipped in the mud (MiKell) and just had a fun time.

Sunsets both nights were gorgeous!

Of course the flower pictures

Happy Birthday! Hyrum is 12

Hyrum hit a milestone birthday, 12!  He has loved being in the Deacon's Quorum.  He is a great young man who really matured in the past year.  He is always so excited to be a part of any activity and is a wonderful big brother to Sabrina.  He took after his father and made sure opening presents took a good long time😀

An unusually warm (although not balmy) Sunday in March we took a family trip to the park.  I loved the silhouette pictures taken on top of the hill.  We had some good family time.

Cruising the Caribbean: Part VI

The final Days

February 24 - 25th

We were able to spend some of our last hours swimming.  We enjoyed the waterpark and the hot tubs the most.  The pools themselves were a bit cold.

Kyle, Wendy, Grandma, Grandpa, and I attended a towel folding workshop.  We all made dogs and elephants.  I tried my hand before the class started and made a stingray and a cobra.

The girls posed with all the towel animals that were done in Grandma and Grandpa's room.

The final day at sea ended up being quite a bit longer than planned.  We were supposed to disembark by 9am, but due to a medical emergency the boat had to detour to get the person onto a coast guard boat and we were 4 hours late.  We were blessed to be in a suite and got off the boat at noon and onto a shuttle at 12:30.  We ran to catch our flight, but catch it we did.
Sailing into Galveston, and waiting in the lounge.  Even though we were still on the boat we could not be in our rooms.
