There are 3 small islands in Wellington Harbor. The largest is Matiu/Somes and it is a scientific and historic reserve. We visited on Waitangi Day (Kyle had the day off). We rode a ferry to the island, hiked around the island, explored the old animal quarantine station, and saw the lighthouse. It was a fun adventure.
What beautiful landscape! These pictures make me itch for hiking and camping but it's still too cold here.
