Swan Boat and the Freedom Trail

Our first day in Boston, Monday May 27th, we woke up and took the subway to Boston Common.  There we took a ride on the Swan Boats.  It was a leisurely ride where we saw swans, turtles and baby ducks.

After the Swan Boat Ride we began following the narrow red brick path otherwise known as the Freedom Trail through Boston.  We saw where Benjamin Franklin started the first public school, Park Street Church,  Kings Church the first Anglican Church in the Colonies, the Old South Meeting House where the Boston Tea Party all began, and the The Old State House built in 1713.

The site where the first public school was.  It is still a school, but has moved sites.
