Colorful

Hyrum gave himself a black eye.  He crashed into the corner of the counter and it did a doozy on his eye.  These pictures are taken three different days as his eye went from swollen to purple and then black.  It was quite the beauty.  Eric is sporting a different blue, his blue lips from Easter candy.

 Finally a couple of bird friends.  I have loved seeing the birds come and visit our bird feeders.  It is hard to catch pictures, but we have seen red, blue, and yellow birds.  Beautiful!!

Hyrum's Birthday

Happy Birthday, Hyrum!!

Hyrum celebrated his 9th birthday while in quarantine.  The two words that I would use to describe Hyrum are loving and active. 
Loving: Hyrum always likes to give hugs!  He is a great snuggler.  He is often one of the first ones up and comes into my room and snuggles in the morning.  He is a great friend and loves to play with everyone. 
Active:  He is always moving!!  He loves to climb, kick balls, make up levels in his own pretend game.  Hyrum is very curious and likes to learn new things, particularly if it can be learned through doing.

* Hyrum gets himself up in the morning and ready for school on his own.  He is the first to catch the bus and is often out the door before any of the other kids are up.

* Hyrum started playing soccer this year and really enjoyed the sport and the team dynamics.

* Hyrum continues to work on his reading, spelling, writing, and speech at school

* Hyrum really enjoys math and is quite good at it.

* Hyrum's favorite color is still Green

* Hyrum loves attending primary activities at church.

* Hyrum likes playing with his siblings, D&D with Zach, Roblox with Eric, Hot Lava with the girls, and bubble chasing with everyone.



   

Fun at Home

We have had some interesting spring weather.  The month of April has brought a few days in the high 70's, thunder storms and hail, and even a couple of days of snow.  It has also brought some beautiful sunsets.

 The girls played in the sprinkler on one of those warm days!

One evening we had a fun time roasting hot dogs and making smores.  We took the opportunity to burn our Christmas tree from 2018, which has been sitting in our garage for over a year.  The dry needles made for some fun bursts in the flames.

Turkey Run State Park

One day of Spring Break we drove to Turkey Run State Park and spent some time exploring nature.  It was a great hike.

What wonderful children!!!

 I was able to take my first Flower pictures of the season.  We also saw wildlife, a snake (seen in the 2nd to last picture)

 Narrows Covered Bridge goes over the Sugar Creek.  It was fun to explore.

More March Fun

We were able to visit a few parks.  The weather has been very fickle, cold, warm, rainy, warm, cold...

The girls have provided spa services for me a few times during our quarantine.  My make-up, hair, and nails have been truly amazing.
