For Family Home Evening we learned about Captain Moroni and the Title of Liberty. We talked about the things he wrote on the flag, things that were important to him and his people. We then made our own flags using pbskids.org. The idea was to put things that are important to us on our own flags. Zachary put the scriptures, the world, a computer, a karate suit (he said it was a Chinese guy), and his name. I don't know what the karate suit meant but the others made sense. He demonstrated that he is my child; when I only put Zach on his flag at first he corrected me and wanted his full name. Eric put games, a soccer ball, a dog, his name, and the number 3. He was also very particular about the colors. I used mainly words, Faith, Family, Life, and Joy. I also put music notes. Kyle put two soccer balls to represent the boys, ballet slippers to represent Wendy, music notes to represent me, and the scriptures for his testimony.
It was a good activity and the boys seemed to actually pay attention.

Garden Harvest
Our garden is finally producing. I guess I should rephrase, the tomatoes are finally producing, the zucchini and squash have been for a few weeks. I've been told the nights were too warm for tomatoes before now, and so we have a lot of green tomatoes, but very few ripe juicy ones. A couple of nights ago we got our first few. Wendy found the basket of produce and began eating. She loves tomatoes!!

How Much is that Daddy in the Window?
We had fun making up our own words to "How Much is that Doggy in the Window" Here are Zachary and Eric doing their own renditions with Daddy as the star.
Below is a picture of me with both boys; we are all smiling, and all looking at the camera, this is a rare occurrence. In this picture we were pretending to be a snowman. Can you tell?
P.S. The vests the boys are wearing are the ones I made for Easter. They were done the week after Easter, but I never posted them. Wendy got a Easter dress.

David Schwieder Family Reunion
The David Schwieder Family Reunion was held near Bear Lake. We stayed in the Paris Springs Campground, which was very nice. The theme was around fairy tales, so we got to make crowns, tell our own fairy tales, and build castles. It was fun to be around those we love.
Fun at the beach. On Friday we spent the day at Bear Lake on the North Beach. We had a great time building sand castles, and playing in the water. It was nice the water stayed so shallow for so long, because Zachary could play and we did not have to worry quite as much.
Camping is always fun. It is one of the few times that it is o-kay to be dirty. The campground had a small hike to Paris Springs which we went to and we had a lot of fun just hanging around camp. One night it rained on us, which was an adventure. The other adventure we had was a squirrel in our tent. O-kay it wasn't all the way in, but one night I heard a scratching sound, at first I blamed Zachary, but then I saw something moving on top of our tent. The squirrel had got stuck between the tent and the rain fly and was making quite a racket trying to get out. Amazingly none of the children woke up to the noise it made or the noise Kyle and I made trying to get him out.
