Cruising the Caribbean: Part I

 Friday, February 17th

Making it to Galveston

We had our first adventure making it to Galveston.  Our flight into Houston was canceled because a plane went off the runway and all flights were canceled into the airport.  They rescheduled us, but we then missed our shuttle into Galveston/  We tried all sorts of options, driving from Austin, renting a car in Houston, getting a different shuttle.  In the end we took 2 Lyft rides and made it to Galveston around 10pm. 

Saturday, February 18th

The Cruise Begins

We made it onto the ship and set off on an adventure.  We walked around and discovered what the ship and Family Harbor area. 

Sunday, February 19th

First Day at Sea

Sunday was a day at sea.  We had a wonderful breakfast and then a scripture study time.  The afternoon we visited the kids areas and although it was still a little chilly to swim, we enjoyed the hot tubs.
