Christmas Eve 2010

We started the afternoon, rolling out cookies, then that evening at Judd and Melanie Flamm's home with a simple meal and wonderful family. We read the Christmas story and then we left for home. At home we had time to decorate a couple cookies each, one for Santa and one for ourselves.

We then opened our Christmas Eve gift, pajama pants, and hung our stocking. It was a low-key but very enjoyable Christmas Eve.

Temple Square lights

Last night we went to see the lights at temple square. It was a very fun family activity, both boys were excited, but in control. They stayed by us and even let us do a little teaching when we were by the nativity scene.

Snow Days!!

A couple of days ago we decided to go play in the snow. It was Wendy's first time and she loved it, after she figured out that we were suppose to get into the snow. Her brothers were very good examples of how to play in the snow. Since Mississippi does not have a lot of snow :) I have not gotten new snow gear for the boys or Wendy. Thank-goodness that they all could mostly fit into what they wore last year. Eric had to use Kyle's gloves, which he loved, and Wendy was in the 6-9 month bunting from last year. Yes, she is small enough that it worked great. We put a pair of Eric's shoes over her feet as they were the only ones that would fit.

The Ward Christmas Party

Last Saturday was the Ward Christmas party. We had a breakfast and then sang Christmas songs karaoke style. Props were given out and if you had a particular prop you were invited to the front to sing and dance. Most people, o-kay all but a couple just stood there. Zachary was not afraid to strut his stuff and entertained a lot of folks. He did a great job dancing!

Wendy is so cute!!

A couple of days ago Wendy was being very cute, and she was willing to smile for the camera, so we got a few shots. Here are some of my favorites.

Mississippi get ready for the Flamms!

It is official we are moving to Mississippi. Kyle starts on the project January 18, 2011. He is very excited about the change and the work. I am excited about the adventure it will be once we get there, I'm just not too thrilled about the logistics of getting there.

George it is!!!

Last Wednesday we had our ultra-sound. We discovered that we are going to have a little baby boy. Kyle has determined that the fetus is named George (this will not be the baby's name). The baby looked healthy and things looked great. We are excited he is coming.

The first half of November

I made a smoothie that had spinach in it. It did not taste bad, all the kids got their vegetables and a nice messy mouth. Zachary is winking at me in his picture, he thought it was very funny. It was decided Eric had a mustache. Zachary told him he was a dad, Eric promptly said in a low voice. "Go outside."

Fall Leaves
The trees have finally started to let their leaves fall. One evening we had some fun playing in the leaves.

Beautiful Fall Colors
Here are a few pictures, taken from our yard, that show how beautiful this world we live on is.

Halloween

Pumpkins
Kyle and I decided that carving pumpkins would be too much of a mess so we colored them. Here are Zachary and Eric with their pumpkins. Zachary had a great time drawing lined all the way around the pumpkin and then stabbing it with the markers. Eric drew a lot of different things including a heart, rocket, and "scary things." I think both of these pictures show my boys personalities. Zachary is smiling, but not looking. He is often happy, but very seldom concentrating on what we think he should be. Eric on the other hand is proud to show what he accomplished. He loves creating things and being recognized for it.

Trick or Treat
The kids had a great time dressing up for Halloween. Zachary has wanted to be a ghost for quite awhile. On Wednesday he had his preschool Halloween party and insisted on having a pillowcase with eyes cut out on his head. After that experience, we were able to talk him into letting us paint his face white. Eric wanted some paint too, so he got a mask to conceal his superhero identity. Wendy was so cute in her penguin costume. The weather was not super cooperative and it rained the entire time we were out. Wendy only came to a few houses. She did not like putting the candy in her bag, she wanted to hold it all. After we took Wendy home and dressed a little warmer the boys, and I went back out; the boys made quite the haul.

October!!

October has been a fun filled month, and I'm sure this last week will be fun filled as well. Here are a few photos that show the fun we had and how cute my children are.

I actually got a picture of all three kids! We are at Zachary's preschool filed trip. Eric was so excited he was able to attend with Zachary. They got to ride behind a tractor, pick a pumpkin, see farm animals, and then play on slides, a pumpkin bounce house, and a train. They had a great time.
