Florida!!

Florida was great!!!
Our vacation started with the AGM (annual general meeting) that Kyle's work puts on. This year it was on Marco Island, with white sand beaches, good food, and a fun children's swimming pool. Eric loved searching for shells on the beach, Zachary kept busy being friendly with other resort guests at the pool, and Kyle and I enjoyed a sailboat ride. Kyle and I also enjoyed having my parents with us, because it meant that we could participate in more of the activities at night. The formal was fun. Kyle was handsome in his tux, and the entertainment unusual. Thanks!! Mom and Dad for being with the kids each night!!!

After the AGM was over we spent a morning down near the everglades. We went on a air boat ride through a mangrove forest. There we saw alligators. We then drove up to Jenifer and Jamie's home in Lakeland. The meal we had there was delicious.

We then spent two days and Walt Disney World. The first day was at the Magic Kingdom. We had the best guides, Jenifer, Jamie, and Joey. We never had a wait of more than 20 minutes so we went on plenty of rides, enjoyed the fireworks, and had a very magical day. Eric loved the "Pooh Bear ride" so we ended up going on it 4 times. The next day was spent at Epcot. It was fun to see different acts. Zachary participated in two. He was able to talk with Crush during an interactive animated presentation with the turtle from "Finding Nemo" Crush even said his name back to him. He also participated with the juggler/mime that was in the Italy section.

The final day of our vacation was spent relaxing with the Sims and visiting a children's museum in Lakeland. It was very fun to see how big Joey is getting and to visit with Jenifer and Jamie. Thank-you for your hospitality. We loved spending time with you.

We had a wonderful time on vacation; however, now we are back. It is hard to get back into the swing of everyday things after a vacation, but we are managing. We look forward to the upcoming summer months and the reunions and vacations that come.
