Kindergarten Program

Zachary participated in his Kindergarten Program "I Love School" today.  Of course he was a star!  When he came in he searched the crowd with a glazed look, when he saw us he gave us a great big smile. Some songs he really got into, others he just stood there, but no matter what he did he was doing it wonderfully.  Each class got to stand in front and do the actions for one song, but everyone sang all of them.  It was fun!

Cute little ones and a Creepy Crawly big one

Below are the cute little ones.  Hyrum was so sweet in Kyle's arms (I think a sleeping baby in his father's arms is about the sweetest thing ever.)  Eric and Wendy rode their bikes today and had a grand time.

Here is the big creepy crawly that we caught.  It was a surprise to find, but the kids found it to be quite the novelty.

Sprinkler Fun!

The kids were able to play in the sprinkler today, and had a great time.  Summer is right around the corner and the kids are ready.  Wendy ran through a few times, something she was hesitant to do last summer.  Hyrum got in the sprinkles for a few times.  If he got in and then right out he thought it was funny, but if the sprinkling remained on him he got upset.  Zachary and Eric just had fun getting each other wet and dirty.

Happy Birthday! Dr. Seuss

It was Dr. Seuss day at school on Friday.  Zachary dressed up as a Star Bellied Sneech.   He was pretty excited about the nose.  The entire week they read Dr. Seuss books and he brought home numerous worksheets and projects centered around the books.

Eric also had a week centered around Dr. Suess books.  He made a 'Cat in the Hat' hat, truffula trees, and my favorite, a giant green egg on which he had written his own little bit of the story.  It said "I do not like ________ and __________. I do not like them." ______ said.  He filled in the blanks with potatoes, peas and Eric.  I guess his Idahoan mother has not created dish with potatoes that is tasty enough for Eric.

Anyway, happy birthday to Dr. Seuss.  I have to say I enjoy his books and so do my children.

Eric

Since the picture on the mantel is almost a year old Eric had a mini photo shoot.  He has a mind of his own and knew exactly how he wanted to be situated.  On a chair with his rug draped over it.  He then crawled under it.  To the left is a picture that show the smile we normally get when we take pictures of Eric.  I got the smile in the pictures above by having him tell me a joke.  He, of course, thought the joke was hilarious.

Eric is really growing up!  He is learning to read and is super excited about showing off his progress.  He also loves to color and use the 'paint' program on the computer to create masterpieces.    He loves peanut butter and honey sandwiches and requests them for every meal of the day.  He can be a great brother when he wants to.  He pretends with Wendy and likes to chase Hyrum to give him 'soft' tickles.

ERIC WE LOVE YOU!!!
