Girls Camp, & Flowers

Wendy was able to attend Girls Camp this year.  It was planned during Covid so it was a bit different, more of a week of day camps, but she enjoyed herself.  Below are a couple of photos of the First Year girls and a photo of her new layers in her hair.

I continue to take pictures of flowers I see.  The flowers below were from a short walk Kyle and I took in Zionsville.

McCormick Creek State Park

We enjoyed our one and only family camping trip this summer.  July 8-10  We went to McCormick Creek State Park and stayed in cabins.  The kids and I went on Thursday, Kyle joined us after work on Friday.
The first place we visited was the falls on McCormick Creek.  We noticed that many people were playing in the falls, so we scheduled a trip back the next day after swimming so we could do the same.

Friday morning we went on a horseback ride through the park.  We even got to go through the creek a couple of times.  This was a highlight for the girls especially.  Below we are pictured on our mounts, Sabirna & Tar Baby, Eric & Mo, Zachary & Cherry, Hyrum & Oreo, Wendy & Rusty, My horse Jerry.

The park had a huge pool.  We had fun swimming and jumping off the diving board.  We then went swimming at the falls.

A couple of random pictures, Eric with Spaghetti sauce all over him, and Hyrum being himself.

The beginning of July

All the kids looking at their baby books.  It was fun to go down memory lane with them.

Our neighbors bought lots of big fireworks and set them off near the pond behind our house.  We had fun watching them a few days before the 4th.

On the3rd, Whitestown had their fireworks show.  It was glorious and we had a good time watching as a family.

Sabrina had a week of swimming lessons which really helped he be more confident in the water.  She now goes everywhere and loves the pool.

Indiana Dunes

We spent a weekend visiting the Indiana Dunes.  It was a rainy weekend, which ended up working in our favor as we were one of only a few families at the beach.  It was beautiful.

We also visited a short boardwalk in Indiana Dunes National Park

The hotel we stayed in had a really fun pool and huge hot tub.  It was a great way to wind down.
