Berry Picking

We had fun picking at a U-Pick farm this past Thursday.  It took us about a hours to get a gallon of blueberries and a few dozen peaches.  The kids were great at finding the ripe blueberries, they were not quite as discerning with the peaches, but they will eat them even if they are the texture of an apple more than a peach :)

Zachary's Cub Scouts in Space - Day Camp

Zachary spent time at a Cub Scout Twilight Day Camp.  It was held from 5:30- 8:30 in the evening.  He had a wonderful time.  Saturday, was a family day to celebrate what they did.  The boys got to shoot off their bottle rockets and the planes they made could race.  Sort of like a Pinewood Derby, but with a propeller.  The other kids also enjoyed playing in the bounce house, and eating yummy food.

Mosaics

So back in February I posted about us visiting the Mosaic Shop and hinted that I would post the finished projects.  Well, better late than never.  Here are the projects,  the Dragon by Zachary, Eric, and Kyle; the Turtle was done by Hyrum and I; the Rose by Wendy and Grandma.  They turned out pretty good.

Happy Birthday, Eric!

Eric had his 7th birthday.  We went to the park that evening and opened presents.  He loved all of his gifts and was quite possessive of them as well.  We then went bowling with Kyle's work.  There everyone sang "Happy Birthday" and we had cupcakes.  He is excited to be seven.

The next morning we ate the rest of the cupcakes.  Below are the kids after enjoying a scrumptious treat.

At his 7 year check-up later in the month, he weighted 50 lbs and was 3ft 11in tall.  This put him in the 44th and 31st percentile respectively.  He is a wonderful kid.

Dance Camp

Wendy was able to participate in a camp by Ballet Mississippi.  They did ballet, tap and a craft each day.  Wendy absolutely loved it.  In Wendy;s words, "I liked skipping up and down and my art."
Today, family was invited to see a demonstration of their work for the week.  Wendy was super cute!

Eric's Craft Camp

Last week Eric participated in a craft camp at the Mississippi Craft Center.  He loved it!!  They did pottery, saw a blacksmith at work, did mosaics, and a lot of games and snacks.  On Friday they had a reception to display their work.  Eric was thrilled to have us there.  We were the last ones to leave, because he had to show us every single thing.
Gotta love such excitement for something you enjoy!

Sabrina at 3 months

Sabrina continues to enthrall us all.  she receives plenty (sometimes too much) attention from her siblings, now that she will give them a smile.  She loves to stick out her tongue and suck on her hand.  Just recently she has discovered she can suck on just a few fingers at a time or even her lip.  She will also now take a pacifier :)
She is a great sleeper at night, but during the day she wants to be held, or sitting up pretty much all the time.  We love our little Sabrina!

May fun

Below are a sampling of pictures from our outside play in May.  We have been having Flammily fun!

Playing at the park.

Playing in the sprinkler.

We are not super big on putting swimming suits on, just go get wet.

Happy Anniversary

Kyle and I celebrated our 10th Anniversary on May 21st.  We had purchased some babysitting at the YM/YW fundraiser, so we used it and went to dinner together.  It was a wonderful evening.  I have been truly blessed to have a husband who provides so well for our family, and supports me 100% in my role as mother.  I cannot believe 10 years have passed so quickly, yet at the same time I can't exactly remember what it was like without him as part of my life.

KYLE + MIKELL = LOVE!!

I got Kyle a new ring, since his original one is simply too small.  He got me a beautiful necklace and earrings that can be worn two directions.

Family Picture

The YM/YW had a fundraiser for their camps.  One of the things you could purchase was a family picture.  We got that and much, much more :)  Here is the family picture. Aren't we cute!!

Fun on May 7th

Wendy's preschool class went to the Children's Museum, so Hyrum, Sabrina, and I tagged along.  We had a great time.

Zachary had a pack meeting where he earned the belt loops and pins they have been working on this Spring.
