Haircuts and Fast Holiday Party fun

Here is Hyrum's before and after shots.  He really needed a haircut.  He is a handsome young man!

I also got my haircut and then dyed it at home.  I like how it turned out.

Kyle and I attended the Fast Holiday Party.  We went to an afternoon Cirque show.  There were jugglers, trapeze artists, balance acts, contortionists, jump ropers, and much more all connected with Holiday music.  It was enjoyable.  We then had dinner at Mesh, which was absolutely delicious.  A great evening with a wonderful man.

 

Parents attend Party - Kids go to School

 Kyle and I were able to attend the Fast Rollout party at the Zoo.  We got to have an interaction with a two toed sloth named Dulce and see the Dolphin show.  We also enjoyed a delicious meal and good company.

The kids began school on Thursday, August 4.  Zachary is a Junior, Eric is a Sophomore, Wendy started her last year of Middle School- 8th grade, Hyrum began 6th grade, and Sabrina is in Mrs. Adams 3rd Grade class.  With Seminary, it takes a few hours to get everyone out the door.  The boys leave at 6:30, Sabrina at 7:30, and the final 2 middle schoolers just before 8:30.  They all reported they had a good day.  Here's to a great school year.

The day before AGM we all had to take Covid tests.  It was a trial for some, but we all tested negative.

Thursday was a day of travel and then the Welcome night.  It was at the Mandalay Bay Pools so the pool was closed for a few hours, so we went next door to the Excalibur and used their pools.  The Welcome celebration was a lot of fun.  Many of us got our faces painted, enjoyed good food, listened to Bruno Mars, watched fireworks, and most important renewed friendships.

Friday June 3, 2022

Kyle spent the day in meetings, but the kids and I spent our day at the pool.  We particularly enjoyed the wave pool and the lazy river.  That evening the kids had their events while Kyle and I went to the adult formal.  The younger two had an evening based around the circus and visited the Shark Bay Aquarium which is part of the hotel.  The teens went to an event at the Luxor that had a lot of video games.  Wendy met with some friends she made a few years ago at AGM which was fun.  Kyle and I enjoyed some yummy food, fun entertainment including dancers, a fashion show, fire, and the pianist, John Legend

Saturday June 4, 2022

The final day of activities.  We spent time as a family at the pool;  ate lunch on the balcony of a hotel restaurant; and participated in the family event at Area 15 in Las Vegas.  Zachary and Eric won a ride on Haley's Comet a hang gliding ride.  The girls got their hair done in colorful poufy buns.  We were also able to visit a Wild Africa exhibit that was fun.
