Auckland Day: Rainbow's End

In between Christmas and New Years Kyle had time off.  Since we didn't know until right before Christmas that he would we made quick plans to visit Auckland.  It was a fun family trip.

Rainbow's End is Auckland's amusement park.  We had a great time as a family and enjoyed time together.

Auckland: Random Fun

Here are some of the random shots from our trip to Auckland.  First a few scenes from our many hours of driving, next a working sheep farm, finally the hotel pool.
The funny thing about this cemetery were the do not dig signs posted everywhere.  Who would dig in a cemetery?

We were able to see a show about sheep shearing and then tour the farm and feed the animals.

The pool was a bit chilly, but the hot tub was a nice temperature for all of us to enjoy.

Auckland: Whagarei Falls, Langs Beach

Whangarei Falls is found in Whangarei about 2.5 hours North from Auckland  The drive up we stopped at the sheep farm, the drive back at the beach.  The falls itself was a nice 15 minute walk and the kids had fun laying on the rocks in the stream.

Langs Beach was a nice stop on our way back to Auckland.  It was a bit chilly, but beautiful and fun.

Auckland: Harbor Cruise and Sky Tower

One day we spent the morning on a harbor cruise, which was enjoyable.  The captain was very good about letting us know what we were seeing.  We also took a short stop to walk around an island in the bay.  After the cruise we walked to the Sky Tower where we enjoyed the view and had a delicious lunch.
