Dinosaur Park in the winter!

Yesterday, while at the grocery store the boys were into my purse. They found our pass to the Dinosaur Park in Ogden and wanted to go. We have not been in a while since it is mainly an outdoor park, and it is the middle of winter. However, I bundled them up this morning and off we went for an hour of fun with the dinosaurs. It was a good thing they were dressed warm because the museum section of the park was closed because the power was out. Both boys were very cooperative to have their picture taken with a dinosaur. Eric's only request was that it was a nice dinosaur that could not eat him. We found a nice herbivore for him. We had a great time! We were the only ones there until we were leaving when another family came, but could not stay because they were not dressed warmly. As we were leaving Zachary said, "There are 2 good moms today." I asked who and he said, "The mom in that car and you." I guess the work was worth it.

A sampling of the kids . . .

Well, I decided I wanted to post some of the wonderful pictures I have collected thus far this year of my wonderful children. So I will do a post for each child. Hope you all enjoy and keep smiling.

Zachary

Zachary has so much energy. He always wants to be on the go and learning. Today he told me that he has changed his mind. He no longer wants to be a worker when he grows up he wants to be a scientist. I personally think it is a good career change.

Eric

Eric has the ability to change his mood in a second. He will be smiling and laughing and then whining about the thing he was smiling about just seconds ago. I know no logical explanation for this other than he is 2. We love having him in our home, especially when he shares his contagious smile and his funny phrases. A couple of days ago his word was "appropriate" Everything from books to bad guys were appropriate.

Wendy

Wendy is so much fun!! She loves her brothers and they love her. I picked a few pictures that also show the fun I'm having with her hair. Our little pigtail Princess!

Family Videos

Here are some videos that I thought I would share as well. 1st Wendy playing with her soft blanket and looking very cute doing it. Next one of her playing Peek-a-Boo with Daddy. She is growing up too fast. The 3rd one is of our FHE Party. Zachary asked us if we could have a Familiy Home Evening Party. The first time he asked if was Thursday, but we thought it a good idea. He wanted another one on Monday, so in addition to a lesson we danced and had crackers. That's my kind of party. The last clip is of Eric at the Children's museum. He is a good little pretender. He was cooking all the peaches and after he washed them too. He also had fun with milk.

Christmas Break

We left Christmas Day and headed to Idaho Falls for the next week. While there we had some great times with family. Here are some pictures demonstrating the fun!

As an extended family we performed the Nativity Story for the great-grandparents as our FHE. We first went to the Schwieder's, and then traveled to the Haroldsen's to wow them. Zachary was Joseph, Eric was a wise man, and Wendy was a sheep, I was her shephard. On the way to the Haroldsen's Joseph and the baby Jesus, Caleb, fell asleep so we had the backup performers come in, Kyle S. was Joseph and Wendy got to have a shining roll as the baby. Grandpa of course was a great donkey.

Sledding with Grandma's new sleds. It was a wet and wild time.

Christmas Day!

Well, I'm finally getting around to posting about Christmas. We had a great time. The Flamm grandparents and Dale were here Christmas Eve and Christmas Morning. It was fun having them with us. Zachary got up at about 5:00am, but did not even realize it was any different from any other day so after using the bathroom, I sent him back to bed. That probably won't happen in future years. We all got up and started looking at what Santa left a couple of hours later. The boys were pleased with their piles of presents, and I was impressed with how well they shared with one another. I was surprised with a string of black pearls that are beautiful, and Kyle got what he asked for a meat grinder. After breakfast we opened presents which was fun. The boys had a hard time making it past the gift they had just opened to open another one. They just wanted to play with what they saw. Kyle was surprised with an ice cream maker, which we have tried out and it works wonderfully. I was surprised with Photoshop Elements, maybe you will be privelaged to see some of what I learn on the blog in the future. Wendy of course was a cutie. She got a doll which she enjoys. We had a great Christmas.
