Zachary and Eric had a wonderful time learning to surf, the rest of us had a great time on the beach or in the water depending on which individual you are speaking of.
The boys started on land wiggling into their wet-suits, and learning the basics of surfing. They then hit the waves and spent 45 minutes surfing. They were the only two so they got lots of one-on-one attention and lots of practice. They were tired when finished.
Both were able to get up and surf, although there were plenty of tumbles as well. It was a morning well spent. At the end of the lesson the instructor let Wendy have a go. She was excited.
Wow! to me that is such an adventure. Us landlocked Idahoans think the ocean is mysterious. Surfing seems such an untouchable sport. What a great opportunity for the kids - and so much fun.
