Jekyll Island - Fall Break 2021

Jekyll Island is part of the Golden Isles of Georgia.  We spent 3 days exploring the island and relaxing.

The Spanish Moss made for some beautiful scenery.

The hotel's pool was perfect for our family to have fun.  They had balls and floaties that we could use and the kids played all sorts of games with them.

We took a Trolley Tour of the Historic District.  The Jekyll Island Club was an exclusive resort for millionaires from its formation in 1888 until WWII.  Families like Rockefeller, Morgan, Vanderbilt, and Pulitzer built cottages (small mansions) where they would spend the winter months.  The tour was informative and fun, we were able to tour Vanderbilt's cottage and learn about the club.  We also got to go to the Mosaic Museum and Faith Chapel as part of the tour.

Faith Chapel with two gorgeous stained glass windows.
